Arlington, VA – Featured on HGTV’s Curb Appeal and nearly every local “top remodeler” listing, design-build firm TriVistaUSA Design + Build is proud to add another distinction to its name: this year’s “Best Builder of Arlington.” The design boutique was honored with the title in the January/February 2021 issue of Arlington Magazine, based on the results of its annual readers’ poll.
Co-owned by Arlington locals Michael and Deborah Sauri, TriVistaUSA has been recognized a total of eight times by the readers of Arlington Magazine as a leading residential design and build firm in the “Best Of” categories. Their success in delivering high-quality design and build projects have also landed it recognition as the “2020 Service Small Business of the Year” from the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, as well as “2019 Contactor of the Year” for projects in both Arlington, VA, and Washington, DC.
“It’s a wonderful experience to come to work every day and help our clients create their dream homes,” explains Michael Sauri. “Many of our clients are families in transition – adding more space for kids, or updating a house after the kids have grown. We also serve a lot of dual-income-no-kids households with refined tastes.”
The firm comes highly recommended by clients like the Dowling family, who reached out to TriVistaUSA following their own contracting nightmare, where their previous contractor ran with their money and left them with a half completed home.
“Michael swept in and brought sanity back to our life,” say Oslo and Gaya Dowling. “In a systemic, well thought-out manner, he helped us address each critical issue. He listened to our needs, desires, and concerns and then developed a plan of action that was tailored for us. We now have a beautiful home…mere words don’t do it justice!”
The Sauris’ close teamwork and creative backgrounds contribute to the unique quality of work they provide. Michael’s work as a professional musician and Deborah’s as an award-winning creative director influence their unique aesthetic.
“Music is about feeling, creation, and improvisation,” says Michael. “Design is as well. When imagining their dream home, our clients often lack the words to convey exactly what they want from the space – really, they’re looking for a feeling. So my job is to help them, improvising with them to create a unique home that sings for them.”
The Sauris also credit the teamwork and flexibility they have learned from raising two children with enhancing the service they provide for their clients.
“As long-time residents of Arlington and parents of young children, we understand the needs of our neighbors and how their homes might support those needs,” says Deborah. “We’re proud to serve our community, creating beautiful living spaces that really work for their families.”
