Marni Thompson

Junior Interior Designer

Marni Thompson is an emerging talent in the world of interior design, currently making a mark as a Junior Interior Designer at TriVistaUSA Design + Build. With a responsibility and efficiency that stems from years of managing store operations, Marni brings a unique blend of creativity, dependability, and a calming spirit to her team. Her hands-on approaches and attention to detail ensure not only the aesthetics but the functionality of her projects, align perfectly with the innovative edge that TriVistaUSA is known for.

 

Adopted from South Korea with roots in Lynchburg, Virginia, Marni's childhood was framed by a supportive family atmosphere fostered by her pastor father, teacher mother, and further colored by an active sports-driven relationship with her siblings. The discipline and teamwork learned on the courts ultimately transitioned seamlessly into her academic pursuits at James Madison University, culminating in a B.A. in Studio Art with a Business minor. This solid foundation of artistic flair and business acumen has informed her professional trajectory, skillfully navigating the realms of creativity and customer service to land her dream role in the design industry. 

 

Prior to TriVistaUSA Design + Build, Marni moved to Northern Virginia in 2022 to become a designer at a design and build company based in Lorton. Today, Marni brings a unique blend of creativity, reliability, and passion to every project. Overall, clients engaging with Marni can expect a seamless collaboration where her passion for design and teamwork converge to create spaces that are not just functional but genuinely resonate with personal style. In addition, doing so with the promise of experiences that are positive, collaborative, and of course, stress-free. 

 

Life outside of work for Marni is with her spirited daughter at its center. Marni also enjoys spending time with friends, museum hopping with her daughter, and together soaking up the cacophony of Washington, D.C. 

What is your ideal weekend getaway?

Sitting on the beach from sunrise to sunset.

 

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?

"All you can do is your best"

Home decor books and pictures of my daughter.

 

Which three people do you invite to a dinner party?

They have already passed away, but they were some of the most important people in my life: My grandma and my best friend's parents (they were like second parents to me).

 

If you knew you couldn’t fail, what would you try?

Play volleyball professionally.
