John Wyman
Estimator
John Wyman is a highly skilled and versatile professional, bringing over 20 years of experience in multiple industries to TriVistaUSA as a Design + Build Estimator. A known name for building the first distillery/restaurant in DC, John brings an extensive background involving cross-functional leadership, project management, and customer service, as well as a reputation for heading every initiative with time and budget in mind. Overall, John is a master jack of all trades, never backs down from a challenge, and enjoys demonstrating the incredible outcomes that can happen when you allow plans to unfold naturally.
Growing up with a nomadic upbringing, John has lived in Merritt, British Columbia, Tucson, and San Dimas, CA., among others. Having resided in different states and even countries ultimately taught him to embrace change and look for opportunity. After serving in the US Army, John ventured into the construction industry, where he's been building, designing, and managing projects for over twenty years. During this time, John held every role possible in the industry including a GM, opened and managed ten restaurants, and even built another ten from the ground up. Moreover, John worked on numerous commercial and residential properties, completing projects in several states. For the personal record books, John completed an entire commercial kitchen gut in just 36 hours and is respected for trailblazing the development of the Line Hotel and Jose Andres projects.
Today, John's diverse history has ultimately led him to join the TriVistaUSA team. Here, John leverages his intricate knowledge of construction to analyze design plans, price projects, and work within the budgets of each client. In addition, his experience in opening and building multiple restaurants has given him an intimate understanding of food service design and construction logistics. Looking forward, John aims to apply all of this to continue growing within the design space – supporting the build lifecycle, exceeding expectations in both value and experience, and of course, offer the best possible solutions to his clients.
Outside of work, John is a ‘let life happen’ kind of guy who enjoys all things welding, hiking, and traveling. Furthermore, you can often find him tinkering with cars pretty well, thanks to his associates in Auto Mechanics.
