Carving out a pumpkin
The house was there, but it wasn’t what the client wanted. The basement was dark and cramped, and wanted more room and a more modern feel. What to do? Simple — gut it and start over.
We kept the foundations to meet zoning restrictions, but added a third floor and over 500 feet of space without increasing the footprint except for a small addition on the back. We added radiant heat flooring to keep feet from freezing, and LED lights under the railings and a Lutron lighting system that allows you to control lights via keypad and app to bring the house well into the 21st century.
